This is my necklace. I made it at Hard Material at Tamaki College in Mr Grundy’s Workshop. Unfortunately some of the people in my class didn’t finish it in time to take it home and I was one of them. Even though I didn’t get the chance to take it home it was cool even having the opportunity to make one. Next year we will be going back to Mr Grundy’s Workshop but next time I am going to focus so that I can get it finished and take it home.
I am a year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 12 and my teacher is Mrs Golder.

Aloud Phones On Areoplanes?
SUMMARY:
Passengers on Qantas and Virgin airlines are able to use their mobile phones when on Australian domestic and international flights. In New Zealand no one yet knows if it going to be allowed on Air New Zealand Planes.
OPINION:
I think that they should let people use their phones on Air New Zealand Planes so that they can communicate using their phones.

Three People Injured At Bledisloe Cup Game!
At the Bledisloe Cup Game the fireworks injured three people. They were struck by debris when the fireworks ignited following the All Black haka.
How did the three people get injured when we can see in the picture that the fireworks and the audience are spaced out? From now on I think that people are going to sit at the back!

Going To McDonald On A Stretcher
A man that was strapped to a stretcher went to McDonald's and ordered his meal from the drive through because McDonald is his favourite food. When I read this article I was surprised. I wondered if it was a good idea to eat McDonald's before surgery.

NZ's Most Popular Surnames
A list with New Zealand’s most popular Surnames has now been produced with the name ‘Smith’ continuing it’s 100-year reign, as New Zealand’s most popular surname. Smith has remained as most popular but now there has been an increase in Asian names, especially in the Auckland area.
The records show that Smith, Wilson and William are the three most popular family names in 2013. Smith has been the most popular since 1913. The top 4 names this year are Wan, Li, Chen and Liu and 14 of the top 20 were of Asian surnames. Smith came in at 5th place.
This is really interesting and shows how our population is changing over time.

Monkey Selfie
A monkey selfie image now has caused uproar on the internet following a debate over who owns the image. A guy named David Slater was taking photos of monkey’s when one of them took the camera of him and took a picture itself. Now the photo has now became famous with a huge amount of people using it.
People are saying that they don’t have to pay to use it because the monkey took the photo so no human owns the copyright. Usually professional photographers charge anyone who uses the snap they’ve taken because they own something called a copyright.
Wikipedia has been using one of the monkey’s selfie image without paying. They say that although the photo was taken on David Slater’s camera he still didn’t take the photo. Now he is angry and trying to find the site to take the picture down.

National Symbol Of Cameroon
I chose this national symbol because I like their motto, Peace, Work and Fatherland. The axe on the left is for Peace (Paix) and the axe on the right is for Fatherland (Patrie). The Shield is for Work (Travail).

Commenting On A Blog
What I Have Done:
- I have asked a question to keep the conversation going.
- I have added information.
- I have added what I would of done if I was there.
What I Need To Improve:
- To write something about the post more often.
- I need to be more specific when I am writing.
